BEIJING, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Mobile phone apps developed by Meitu Inc. are "beautifying" images around the world by offering local services for people of different nationalities and cultures, China Daily reported Thursday.
BeautyPlus was developed specifically for users outside of China and now has more than 300 million overseas users, said an article carried by the newspaper.
The app has location-specific features to cater to the different definitions of beauty in different countries.
The company also unveiled BeautyPlus ME, a lite version of BeautyPlus in India, as many there tend to use apps with smaller file-size due to bandwidth issues and poor connectivity, according to the report.
Meitu has a number of offices abroad and more than 20 nationalities are represented on its global team.
