Two Chinese people died in a fire Monday at a tourist facility on Olkhon Island in Russia, reports said.
Zhang Yingmei, the vice consul of China’s Consulate General in Irkutsk, confirmed the deaths, according to thepaper.cn.
Five people were hospitalized. Four of them are citizens of South Korea and one woman is a local resident. Their condition is not life-threatening, tass.com reported.
Rescuers said 34 people were at the facility when the fire broke out, including eight from South Korea , 24 from China and two from Russia.
