China's Foreign Ministry said Thursday that Indian media are not very confident about their own country and don't trust China.
“I want to say that Indian media are not very confident and they do not trust us,”said Hua Chunying, foreign ministry spokesperson, when commenting Indian media reports that the purpose of India's invitation of 10 leaders from ASEAN to attend its Republic Day was to blunt China's influence in the region.
“China is open and positive about cooperation and relations among other countries and happy that India enjoys a good friendly cooperation with other ASEAN countries,”Hua said.
"We hope all countries can work together for peace, stability and development of the region,”she added.
