
HOUSTON, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- The police told media conference Thursday afternoon that two students and a male shooter were dead following high school shooting in U.S. northwest state of New Mexico.
Police from the New Mexico State Police (NMSP), San Juan County, didn't identify the suspect, only mentioning the shooter was a male.
Meanwhile, the police dismissed rumors on social media of more injuries and more places, stressing that there was no other injuries reported.
The police is still investigating the incident and encourages eyewitness to report to police.
The shooting incident happened around 8 a.m. Thursday at Aztec High School in Aztec, officials said, and the students were in class at the time.
Aztec is about 290 km northwest of Albuquerque, state capital of New Mexico.
