Volunteers make vow to serve Fortune forum

A total of 1,200 volunteers, selected mostly from universities, made a vow to whole-heartedly serve the upcoming 2017 Fortune Global Forum at a special activity held in Guangzhou on Nov 26.

The event was hosted by the China Communist Youth League of the Guangzhou municipal committee and the volunteer service group of the 2017 Fortune Global Forum Executive Committee.

A range of volunteer representatives including receptionists, guides and security guards attended revealing their slogans and pledging to serve the global event to the best of their ability.

Volunteer recruitment started on May 3 followed by nearly 80 selection interviews, according to Sun Zhu, chief coordinator of the volunteer service group of the 2017 Fortune Global Forum Executive Committee. Sun said a total of 21 training sessions have been carried out to prepare volunteers for their respective roles.

Also unveiled at the activity was a music video for the 2017 Fortune Global Forum volunteer song which aims to spread the spirit of sharing and devotion among those taking part.
