
BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- China and the U.S. are making various preparations for the state visit by U.S. President Donald Trump to China next month to ensure the visit achieve significant and positive results, said a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
Spokesperson Hua Chunying made the remarks Friday at a daily press briefing, saying that Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi had a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Thursday.
They exchanged views on bilateral ties and both sides said they would continue to work on various preparations for the upcoming visit to ensure the visit achieve significant and positive results, said Hua.
They also exchanged views on the Iran nuclear issue, said Hua.
