Wang Sanyun, former vice chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee of the 12th National People's Congress, has been expelled from the Party and removed from public office for "severe disciplinary violations," including taking bribes, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) said Friday.

Wang had also served as the secretary of the Gansu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for more than five years.
