Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called for a peaceful resolution of DPRK's nuclear issue during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov at the United Nations on Tuesday.
The current vicious cycle must be broken, he said.
Wang also appreciated Russia’s contribution to the BRICS Summit in coastal Chinese city Xiamen this year, which he said reflected the high level of strategic cooperation between the two countries.
Lavrov congratulated China for hosting the BRICS Summit successfully, which he said has further enhanced the international influence of the BRICS countries.
Russia is willing to work with China to plan the next high-level exchanges together, Lavrov added.
Wang also said that there would be a series of significant interactions between China and Russia, and the two countries should prepare for that.
