Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said on Tuesday that China hopes the UN Security Council resolution can be fully and comprehensively carried out.
Geng also noted China are strongly against the deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, which does not contribute to the denuclearization and stability of the Korean Peninsula in the long run.
China has proposed “dual-track” and “double suspension” resolutions to solve the Korean Peninsula issue, and called on relevant parties to work with China to push forward dialogue and negotiation in promoting the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, said Geng.
