
BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- On September 12, Premier Li Keqiang hosted the "1+6" Roundtable with heads of major international economic institutions in Beijing.
Speaking of the Chinese economy, Premier Li said we have introduced policy measures early on to cut red tape and bring down taxes and fees. Since its inauguration, this government has made consistent efforts to transform government functions by streamlining administration, delegating powers, strengthening regulation and improving services. It has acted to significantly broaden market access and cut down the number of economic activities requiring government approval while enhancing compliance oversight. These relentless efforts have resulted in the cutting of 2 trillion yuan of taxes and fees in the past four years and contributed to a notable improvement in China's business environment. This year's World Bank report moved China up by 18 spots in terms of the ease of doing business in the past three years.
