Fuxing bullet train to be put into operation in north China

(Xinhua)    08:29, August 17, 2017

China's next-generation bullet train, the "Fuxing," will be put into operation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area on August 21, China Railway Corp., the train's operator, said Wednesday.

The Fuxing bullet trains will serve 10 stops in the region, including Wuqing, Tianjin, Zhuozhou, Gaobeidian, Baoding and Shijiazhuang, via 45 one-way trips.

The new fleet marks a key effort by the country to promote integrated transportation development in the region. Travellers will benefit from the most advanced bullet trains, the operator said.

Railway authorities promised to provide high-quality service at a good price to travellers. More "Fuxing" trains are on schedule to be put into operation, the operator said.

"Fuxing" trains are entirely designed and manufactured in China, led by the China Railway Corporation. China holds the complete intellectual property rights on the trains.

On July 27, China used the Fuxing trains to complete a test in order to restore the maximum speed of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed bullet train to 350 kilometers per hour, six years after it was reduced to 300.

The "Fuxing" train will run at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour between Beijing and Shanghai starting in mid-September.
