
Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang Wednesday called on China and Nepal to step up their cooperation in research and application of traditional medicine.
Wang made the remarks while touring a China-sponsored traditional Nepalese medical research training center in Kathmandu during his visit to the country.
Traditional medicine in both China and Nepal enjoy a long history, Wang said. And China is ready to strengthen its support for Nepal's medical and health services so that the Nepalese people can benefit from their country's practical cooperation with China
On Tuesday, Wang met with Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadar. The two agreed to make joint efforts to further advance pragmatic cooperation between the two countries.
Also on Tuesday, Wang met respectively with chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (CPN Maoist Center) and former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, and CPN-UML (Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist and Leninist) chief and former prime minister Khadga Prasad Oli, on strengthening cooperation.
