Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed seven new ambassadors, upon approval by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement by the national legislature.
Wang Wentian was appointed ambassador to Laos, replacing Guan Huabing.
Sun Gongyi was appointed ambassador to Mauritius, replacing Li Li.
Li Li was appointed ambassador to Morocco, replacing Sun Shuzhong.
Zhang Yiming was appointed ambassador to Namibia, replacing Qiu Xuejun.
Lin Songtian was appointed ambassador to South Africa, replacing Tian Xuejun.
Gui Congyou was appointed ambassador to Sweden, replacing Chen Yuming.
Liang Yu was appointed ambassador to Bolivia, replacing Wu Yuanshan.
