Geoff Ho (pictured) was reportedly stabbed at Southwark Tavern in London and has been taken in an ambulance on Saturday night, but he has now been found in hospital

The hero journalist who used his martial arts skills to tackle the London Bridge terrorists has been left unable to speak after being stabbed in the neck.

Dramatic video recorded last night showed Geoff Ho clutching his throat as he staggered away from the scene just minutes after the terror attack.

Moments before, he had tweeted: 'Don't know whether it was stupid or noble to jump in and break up the fight outside the Southwark Tavern, but two a***s trying to do over the lone bouncer on the door isn't happening on my watch.'

Geoff was stabbed at Southwark Tavern on Saturday night and rushed to hospital in an ambulance during the chaos.

He was bravely trying to break up what he believed was a standard Saturday night brawl.

Friend Gary Robinson said: 'Geoff update is that he is stable but can't talk. He is a true hero.

'He took on the terrorists when three rushed in stabbing people 30 mins later, using his martial arts, he fought them off.

'One missed him the other stabbed him in the throat (and possibly stomach). He was hurt protecting others.'

He added: 'He is in intensive care but 'doing well' according to the doctor. Unbelievable bravery. God speed your recovery. Geoff Ho, proud to call you my friend.'

Another friend, named as Nadeem, said: 'Many thanks for your prayers and wishes for Geoff today. I've also passed on your best wishes to his family who really appreciated all what you have said and done for their son.

'For those who do want to see him, please go but he will not be able to talk and is groggy.

'As mentioned Geoff is stable. He cannot talk though and will be monitored for a week as he has a tract.

'Hero is a word not enough for Geoff, bless him, he took on three vile scum where one hit him in the neck. He has had surgery and the doctor was impressed by how calm he was in everything.

'Dude is a legend who tried to help out the people who was being attacked. Bless him for his good natured heart

'It pained me to see what happened to him but he will get through. Love you brother.'

Witnesses to the eight-minute attack last night said there was a stabbing in the Southwark Tavern venue at Borough market while others heard at least 12 gunshots in the area.

Twitter users circulated an image of Mr Ho and declared him missing after he was stabbed at the tavern, but he has since been found in hospital.

Three jihadists yelling 'this is for Allah' are said to be the men behind the horrific rampage which has caused chaos on London streets.

The terror suspects mowed down up to 20 people with a white van at 50 miles per hour on London Bridge and then began 'randomly stabbing' pedestrians and diners with 12-inch hunting knives.

The terrorists tried to storm into the busy pub in the nearby Borough Market, where a man was reportedly stabbed five times in the chest.

One witness said a 'dark-skinned' man in a red tracksuit 'calmly' stabbed a man three times.

One woman said she saw three people with what appeared to be their throats cut at London Bridge. There are also reports that a bystander was shot in the head in the crossfire and at least seven people have been stabbed.

Seven people have been killed and 48 have been injured according to the Metropolitan Police.

A British Transport Police officer was stabbed on London Bridge although his wounds are not thought to be life threatening.

All three terrorists were shot dead by armed police officers approximately eight minutes after the incident began. Police said the terrorists were all wearing fake suicide vests.

Terrifying footage from the scene shows police officers shouting 'Clear the scene now!' as panicked pedestrians flee. London Ambulance said multiple resources were attending the area.

The terrorists are believed to have hired a white van from B&Q and drove at high speed across London Bridge swerving along the pavement in an 'S shape' to hit as many pedestrians as possible.
