China to invest in Guinea Bissau

(Global Times)    10:10, February 28, 2017

China will invest $184 million to build a biomass power plant in Guinea Bissau, according to a Reuters report on Sunday.

China will provide 93 percent of the project's funds, while Guinea Bissau will provide the rest.

Rice husks, wheat, corn and other grains will be used as the fuel for the plant. The project will help alleviate a longstanding power shortage in Guinea Bissau.
