HEFEI, Jan. 21 -- Li Guoying was elected governor of east China's Anhui Province on Saturday.
He was elected at the seventh session of the 12th Anhui Provincial People's Congress.
Born in 1964, Li is a native of Yuzhou, Henan Province. He was appointed acting governor of Anhui in September 2016.
