Three suspects connected to a 2015 violent attack in northwest China's Xinjiang Autonomous Region have been gunned down by the police.

The suspects were shot and killed in southwest Xinjiang's Pishan County.

The police from south Xinjiang's Hetian said the suspects resisted arrest during the operation.

No police officers were injured.
