
BEIJING, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinpinghas appointed nine new ambassadors, upon approval by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement by the national legislature.
Hu Changchun was appointed ambassador to Gabon, replacing Sun Jiwen.
Zhang Lijun was appointed ambassador to Niger, replacing Shi Hu.
Wu Peng was appointed ambassador to Sierra Leone, replacing Zhao Yanbo.
Yu Hong was appointed ambassador to Nepal, replacing Wu Chuntai.
Ni Jian was appointed ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, replacing Chang Hua.
Yin Lixian was appointed ambassador to Macedonia, replacing Wen Zhenshun.
Chen Li was appointed ambassador to Finland, replacing Yu Qingtai.
Chen Xi was appointed ambassador to Cuba, replacing Zhang Tuo.
Lu Kun was appointed ambassador to Dominica, replacing Li Jiangning.
