With the strong resolve and commitment to running the Party according to the rule book, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has proved to the Chinese people, as well as the world, that it is capable of governing itself and the country well.
The CPC Central Committee convened from Monday to Thursday, approving new efforts to strengthen governance of the Party.
The meeting approved two documents on discipline, including the norms of political life within the Party in a new situation and a regulation on intra-Party supervision.
Decisions at the meeting have further bolstered public confidence in the Party and provide an important guarantee for the Party to break new ground in governing the country.
Moreover, with resolute and practical measures, the CPC has proved that pledges of "pushing forward the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party" will be more than mere words.
Since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, the CPC Central Committee has been taking the lead in Party governance with members of the committee playing exemplary roles in this regard.
While adhering to the ideological and systemic construction within the Party, the CPC Central Committee also carried out concrete measures to improve the work style, reduce corruption and purify the political environment in the Party.
The successful practices in Party governance illustrated that strict Party governance is a prerequisite for the Party to govern the country and such efforts must constantly develop along with the Party and the state.
The CPC still faces with some many tests and the situation is still grave.
However, it is obvious that the Party is fully aware of the problems and difficulties and is determined to face them squarely.
In actually doing so, the latest session has provided part of the answer.
"Together we must build a clean and righteous political environment, and ensure that the Party unites and leads the people to open up new prospects for socialism with Chinese characteristics," said a communique issued after the meeting.
