Delegations from 85 countries, five international organizations and 66 overseas institutions will attend the Silk Road International Cultural Expo in northwest China's Dunhuang City, Gansu Province from Tuesday.
According to deputy director of the expo Liang Yanshun, a summit conference, five sub-forums and five special forums will be held during the two days of the event to come up with constructive suggestions on cultural exchange and intergovernmental cooperation.
An exhibition of some 8,000 exhibits will be devoted to the cultural achievements of more than 60 countries along the Belt and Road. The expo is the only international cultural festival specifically for Belt and Road countries.
Gansu Province plans to sign 10 agreements with participating countries and international organizations, along with about 90 cultural cooperation agreements worth over 100 billion yuan (15 billion U.S. dollars).
