
BEIJICUN, Feb. 1, 2016 -- Meteorological observer Guo Dayong records observation data in the town of Beijicun, or "North Pole Village", in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, Jan. 31, 2016. Beijicun, a small town in China's northernmost county of Mohe, is one of the coldest places in the country. The lowest temperature ever recorded here was minus 52.3 degrees Celsius. Only four people work at the Beijicun National Meteorological Observation Station now. (Xinhua/Wang Kai)
