
Johannesburg August 17 (People’s Daily Online) - To commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Global War Against Fascism and Chinese Victory Against Japanese Aggression, a concert and photography exhibition was held in Emperors Palace, Johannesburg on Sunday.
The music performance, given by representatives of overseas and local Chinese communities, covered several classic songs composed during Anti-Japanese War.
120 precious old pictures were displayed at the photography exhibition, showing the unforgettable history of how people rose and fought against the Japanese Aggression.
1200 people attended the event, among them are representatives from the Chinese Embassy in South Africa, Chinese Consulate General in Johannesburg, Chinese enterprises and local Chinese community in South Africa.
