A Chinese-backed high-speed rail expo has been held in Indonesia in a bid to win a major contract in the country.
The project itself, linking the Indonesian capital Jakarta with the city of Bandung some 150-kilometers away will be Indonesia's first high-speed railway.
China and Japan are said to be the two main compeditors for the contract.
He Huawu, Chief Engineer with the China Railway Corporation, says he believes China's bid is the best option.
"I am fully confident in four aspects, namely technology and planning, the type of high-speed trains, our mode of cooperation and the time it will take to complete the construction. We have the best advantage."
The Indonesian authorities are expected to decide which country will get the contract by the end of this month.
