Xu Yibo, deputy secretary general of Shanghai Municipal Government & Party secretary of SHSASAC, leads delegation to Israel for goodwill visit

On January 6, 2015, Xu Yibo, deputy secretary general of the Shanghai Municipal Government and Party secretary & chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanghai Municipal Government (SHSASAC) and Lyu Yongjie, chairman of Bright Food Group led a delegation to visit Israel. During the visit, they held talks with Yaffa Ben-Ari, deputy director general of the Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.

Yaffa welcomed the delegation led by Xu, expecting to develop cooperation with such a world power as China. As a platform, Tnuva can build a bridge to promote Sino-Israeli cooperation in fields such as agriculture, food and technology, she added.

Xu hailed Israel as an innovative country, adding that Shanghai has huge opportunities of cooperation with Israel in a wide range of fields as a frontier economic city in China. Subsequently, the accompanying key leaders of Shanghai's commissions and offices voiced their ideas of cooperating with Israel from fields in their charge. The atmosphere was warm.

At last, Lyu introduced Bright Food's development strategy and the prospect of its cooperation with Tnuva. Tnuva is of symbolic significance to Bright Food's internationalization strategy as its largest-ever overseas acquisition, he said, adding that the cooperation between Bright Food and Tnuva will cover diverse fields including dairy and become a model for Sino-Israeli cooperation.

After meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, the delegation also visited Tnuva's minority shareholder-Kibbutzk known as Israel's people's commune. The two sides held friendly talks.
