On the afternoon of November 21, accompanied by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, Chinese President Xi Jinping on a state visit to New Zealand visited the Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Technology Exhibition in Auckland. A host of enterprises, universities and research institutions from China and New Zealand participated in the exhibition.

As the only Chinese-foreign joint venture at the exhibition, Synlait aroused Xi's interest. He came up to Bright Dairy Synlait's booth, inquiring of Bright Dairy President Guo Benheng about Bright Dairy's acquisition of Synlait. In recent years, at the call for the reforms of state-owned assets and state-owned enterprises, on the heels of Bright Food Group, Bright Dairy has conducted ceaseless exploration of globalization, Guo said. As China's first overseas dairy acquisition project and first dairy project listed abroad, the Synlait project invested in by Bright Dairy in 2010 appreciated by 100% within only 32 months after the investment, he added.

Xi acclaimed Bright Dairy's strategy and efforts in international mergers & acquisitions, thanked Bright Dairy for its remarkable contribution to the exchange and cooperation between Chinese and New Zealand enterprises, and encouraged Bright Dairy to renew efforts to achieve new successes and provide more reassuring dairy products to Chinese people. Bright Dairy believed that participating in the exhibition would help enhance its international image and lay a solid foundation for its moving into the world top 20 dairy enterprises.
