Wei Xiurong came across Japanese soldiers when she was 10. Wei clearly remembered that the Japanese soldiers stuck a woman with bayonet since they doubted that the woman was a member of the Eighth Route Army. Propelled by this bloody scene, Wei made up her mind to become a warrior. At 17, Wei became a party member and joined women association for salvation.
Wei, along with her colleagues, spread monstrous crimes of Japanese soldiers including killing, arson and rape to their neighborhoods, made shoes and socks for Chinese soldiers, condoled relatives of the soldiers at the front line and made clothes for children of martyrs.
Wei provided the best room in her house to the wounded soldiers, offering limited foods for them. Under the delicate care of Wei, the wounded soldier recovered within three months.
