On July 11, a journalist found the traces of the wild Asian elephants on the bank of Manlao River of Jiangcheng county. The appearance of the Asian elephants attracted many people, who watched and took photos with them.

These wild elephants belong to the group of elephants which has lived in Zhengdong Town of Jiangcheng County for a long time. Recently, they went along the river irregularly to look for food, to avoid the population conflict, or to find another habitat, and maybe they left the group because of getting lost in midway.

When pedestrians and local people found these elephants, they were only more than 20 meters away from the people just opposite to the river. The pedestrians and local people could see them clearly from such a close distance. There are 21 adult elephants and baby elephants in total. Among these elephants, some were playing in the river, some were nursing, some were playing water, and some were looking for food on the bank…The people could not help recording these rare pictures by mobile phone or camera and published these pictures on Weibo and WeChat.
