Industrial Index of Major Chinese Regions: Guangdong

Following is the industrial index in Guangdong Province, which witnessed the fastest economic growth in China:

Guangdong's major industrial enterprises recorded 429.5 billion yuan in added value, up 12.8 percent on annual basis.

The output value of new and high-technology industry accounted for 20.8 percent of the total industrial output value of the province in 2000.

The above is major economic indicators of ten major Chinese regions released by Xinhua.

The ten regions are the provinces of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang, Henan, Liaoning, and the municipalities of Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin and Chongqing. These provinces and municipalities make up the bulk of the Chinese economy.
