Hainan Has Best Seawater in China
South China's island province of Hainan has the best quality of seawaters in the offshore areas in the country.
This conclusion is based on the latest survey reports by Hainan Provincial Center for Monitoring of Seawaters.
The center carried out six conventional examinations into the quality of seawater at major bays around the island recently, gathered 52 samples, obtained 714 items of data and produced eight monitoring reports.
Technical workers with the center say that compared to last year's monitoring results, the quality of seawater has on the whole improved enormously this year.
A local official attributed the improvement in the quality of seawater in Hainan's offshore areas to the province's intensified efforts in monitoring changes in seawater around the island.
