Support Rate for Mori Cabinet Remains Low at 20.1%: Poll

Public support for the cabinet of Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori remains low at 20.1%, a survey conducted by a Japanese newspaper showed Tuesday.

The disapproval rate of Mori's cabinet was 69.9%, an indication that the Dec. 5 cabinet reshuffle has not successfully reinvigorated public support for the cabinet, the Yomiuri Shimbun said. The daily surveyed 3,000 eligible voters across Japan over the weekend, with 1,965, or 65.5%, responding.
