China's First DTV Video Frequency Decode Chip Come to Appearance
A digital high-definition TV video frequency decode chip has recently made its appearance in Shanghai Jiaotong University, the first of its kind made by China herself and with her own intellectual property rights. This has put an end to the history, in which China had for quite a long time to depend on the imports for the supply of the chip.
When the chip is applied in the high definition TV, the digital TV shows its definition to be as high and over 8-18 times than that of the analog one and the horizontal resolving power reaching more than 1000 lines. The display of the chip at the 2nd high-tech fair held lately in Shenzhen has won great praises from many visitors, domestic and foreign.
It is as reported that the research result has passed the digital flow checking by the American SARNOFF Company, and its performance has come up to the international advanced level.
