Student-Founded Company Launches Cultural Website

China's first IT company founded by college students launched a portal website featuring culture and literature on May 31.

The Beijing-based Fanso, established by five students at Qinghua University in Beijing in 1999, invited several renowned writers including Ba Jin, Yu Qiuyu, and Yu Hua to become shareholders of the new website: www.ChineseAll.com .

The website offered them stock in exchange for their copyrights.

Lu Jun, president of Fanso, said the new site is a literature- based cultural website catering to overseas Chinese as well as Chinese citizens.
