Netherlands-Funded Agricultural Projects in Ningxia
Two agricultural projects built with loans worth US$7.55 million from the Netherlands recently started in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
One project will build a drainage system which will use US$5 million in loans. The project will drain off water from 23,333 ha of land in the Yellow River flooded zone during the flood season and import water drainage equipment and technology from the Netherlands.
The other project will build two dairy farms with US$2.52 million in loans. The farms, equipped with high-temperature sterilizing production lines, are expected to turn out 11,000 tons of fresh milk annually.
