5,380 Grams of Heroin Seized in Yunnan

Police in Lincang, a border county in Yunnan Province in southwest China, recently arrested two people for drug possession and confiscated 5,380 grams of heroin.

On Tuesday, police seized 1,080 grams of heroin from a passenger on a train heading from the county of Gengma to Kunming, capital of Yunnan.

On Wednesday morning, police caught a woman at a border checkpoint who was attempting to smuggle 4,300 grams of heroin through in a cardboard box.

Yunnan has a 3,200-kilometer border with Myanmar, Viet Nam and Laos. It is next to the notorious Golden Triangle.
