China and Vietnam reached common view on the operation of a special tourist train from Guilin of China to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay of Vietnam and signed a contract on this on May 13. Therefore, the running of China's first transnational tourist train will begin within days.

For the normal operation of this "Green passageway" for international tourism, the Liuzhou Railway Office has specially designed six packages of operation scheme, according to which the train will set off in the morning and arrive in the evening or vise versa.

In the opinion of the personages concerned, the opening of the Sino-Vietnamese international tourist train not only can promote the friendly contacts between the two peoples, but also can broaden the railway tourist market and pave a safe and comfortable way to the scenic areas of the two "Guilins". It will take more Chinese tourists who, after enjoying the full view of Guangxi's Guilin, a place praised as the best landscape under heaven, can continue their journey to personally appreciate the unique and different beauty of "Guilin on Sea" - Ha Long Bay of Vietnam.
