Guangdong Province Seizes 5.25-kg Heroin, Arrests Drug Dealers

Police in Jieyang City, in south China's Guangdong Province, have seized 5.25 kilograms of heroin from six drug traffickers.

The city's public security bureau announced on April 25 that Zhuang Yixin, a farmer in Liaoyuan Town of Puning City, and his wife were arrested as they were conducting a drug deal in the urban area of Puning on April 8. Puning is a city under the jurisdiction of Jieyang.

Other suspected traffickers were arrested soon after Zhuang. Also seized were 1.56 million yuan in cash and two cars used to transport drugs, the source said.

The case is still under investigation, police said.
