PLA Delegation Leaves for Three-Nation Trip

A delegation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) left Beijing April 21 for an official goodwill visit to Argentina, Chile and Brazil.

The delegation, led by Guo Boxiong, deputy chief of the PLA General Staff, has been invited by the headquarters of the staff of the Argentine armed forces, Commander-in-Chief of the Chilean Army Ricardo Caffarena, and Brazilian Army Commander Gleuber Vieira.

Accompanying Guo, who is also a member of the Central Military Commission, on the trip are Deputy Commander Jing Xueqin of the PLA Air Force and Chief of Staff Yao Xingyuan of the PLA Navy.
