Culture Painting Album of Confucius' Descendent Issued in Beijing

A ceremony to mark the publication of a painting album by Kong Weike, a seventy-eighth generation descendent of Confucius, was held Friday in Beijing.

More than thirty famous artists and experts attended the ceremony.

Sun Molong, a famous artist, said Kong's paintings captured the spirit of Confucius and his teachings. Wang Yong, a researcher at the Academy of Arts of China, said that Kong's paintings combine man's pursuit of harmony with nature.

Kong has painted numerous paintings on Confucius, and his paintings have attracted praise from critics at home and overseas.
