China Chinese Non-Communit Parties, ACFIC Express Sympathy for Quake Victims in Taiwan

The central committees of all the non-Communist parties in China and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) have sent messages to Taiwan, expressing their sympathy to the victims of the September 21 earthquake.

The Central Committee of the China Democratic League said, "All members of our League are concerned about the catastrophe which caused great property losses and injuries."

"Though we're far away from the stricken area, we feel we're hurt as well. Our determination to aid Taiwan compatriots won't be stopped by the difficulty of inconvenient communication and transportation. We'll do our best to help out at a moment's notice. "

The message of the Central Committee of the Chinese Peasants' and Workers' Democratic Party said, "We have a group of medical experts among our party. We'd like to send a medical team to Taiwan and help the rescue work."

Other central committees of non-Communist parties, namely the China Democratic National Construction Association, the China Association for Promoting Democracy, the China Zhi Gong Party, and the China Jiu San (September 3) Society, also expressed their concern for Taiwan's earthquake victims.

The Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang and the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League sent words of condolence to the people of Taiwan soon after the quake.

The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce extended their deepest sympathies to the families of those killed in the tragedy and wished their counterparts in the business circle a speedy recovery. (Xinhua)
