SEOUL, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's President-elect Park Geun-hye plans to dispatch a delegation to China next week, marking the first time she sends special envoys overseas, her aides said Wednesday.

The four-member delegation, to be led by Kim Moo-sung, who headed Park's presidential campaign, will visit China next Tuesday for a three-day trip and will pay a courtesy call to Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Other envoys are Shim Yoon-joe and Cho Won-jin of Park's conservative ruling Saenuri Party and Han Seok-hee, an international relations professor at Yonsei University.

The move comes a week after Park met with Chinese envoys including Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun, who delivered a personal letter from Xi.

Park, who won the Dec. 19 presidential election, replaces incumbent President Lee Myung-bak next month.
