BEIJING, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- China on Tuesday launched a website to promote its talent management and publicity, according to news portal people.com.cn, one of the website's operators.

Rencai.people.com.cn, which is also run by the Communist Party of China (CPC) news portal cpc.people.com.cn, will be operated under the guidance of the central human resources management office, said Sun Xueyu, director of the office.

"It has been approved by Chinese leaders and the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee," said Sun, adding that the website will better serve the country's talent management in the information age.

The website has sections such as human resource data and policy interpretations written by experts.

According to a news statement issued by people.com.cn, the creation of the website reflects the spirit of the 18th CPC National Congress, which was held in November last year.

More firsthand information on national policies concerning talent management will be published through the website, it said.

At the 18th CPC National Congress, Chinese leader Hu Jintao said that the country should "turn from a country with large human resources into one with a large pool of competent professionals."
