Songjiang to build shelter

Songjiang district will start construction on a 150,000-square-meter emergency shelter by the end of this year, local media reported Monday.

The shelter is designed to accommodate 8,000 people for at least 15 days. The structure will include firefighting equipment and garbage disposal facilities, as well as an emergency command center.
