APF team wins championship in 5th International Special Operation Soldiers Competition

The five-day-long 5th International Special Operation Soldiers Competition, the "Warrior Competition", came to an end on March 28, 2013 in Jordan. The team of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force (APF) won the championship with the highest total points.

The competition was opened on March 24. A total of 33 teams from 18 countries including Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia and Iraq, China, Russia, the United States and France competed fiercely at the King Abdullah Special Operation Training Center (KASOTC) in Amman, Jordan.

The Snow Leopard Commando Unit (SLCU) of the Chinese APF and the special duty group of the Special Police Academy of the Chinese APF, both composed of seven competitors, were selected to take part in the competition. The competitors completed 15 high-intensity competitive events including precision shooting, obstacle crossing and shooting, special operation rescue and tactical transition with their consummate skills and excellent qualities. They got good results including first prizes of nine individual events, second prizes of four individual events and third prizes of two individual events.

Among all the participating teams, the Snow Leopard Commando Unit (SLCU) of the Chinese APF came top and the special duty group of the Special Police Academy of the Chinese APF took the second place in terms of total points.

It is learnt that this is the second time for the Chinese APF team to participate in the international special operation soldiers competition, the "Warrior Competition".
