Located in the northwest of the country, Baoji has a wealth of historic heritage, including the world-renowned terra-cotta warriors.
This is where the history of Baoji is collected and displayed -- a place where visitors can travel back in time with the exhibits.
"I remember how to handle this. You hang the string horizontally and attach it. Stamp on the left pedal and it goes right, then on the right and it goes left."
Long Jianhui is deputy director of the museum's Collections Department. He says all the exhibits come from local families. As he sees it, the collection is a race against time.
Long Jianhui said, "If nobody collected and saved these old things, they would vanish as time goes by. For example, the loom might have been burned as firewood or deserted if we hadn't put it in our museum."
