It's been two years since Long and his colleagues started collecting pieces. They've also recreated the ambience of the old days, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in memory.
"It takes me back to when I was a teenager. Everything feels so familiar and nice, because this is the environment we grew up in."
According to Long Jianhui, the museum will continue on its present course - as long as the money lasts.
Long Jianhui said, "Our project basically depends on subsidies. We seek out antiques that have cultural value and the government reimburses us."
There are over 200 museums in Shaanxi Province, and more than 50 are free of charge. Every year, the museums receive an astounding 25 million visitors.
