Rabbits to light up festival night

(Shanghai Daily)

10:19, February 21, 2013

Customers choose rabbit lanterns at a stall in Shanghai's Yuyuan Garden in preparation for Sunday's Lantern Festival, which marks the end of the lunar New Year celebrations. Rabbit-shaped lanterns are traditionally pulled by children in a festival parade. They have a bamboo skeleton, wooden wheels, fur made from paper and a candle inside, though many are now plastic and powered by batteries. Yuyuan Garden is considered the place to be on the night of the festival. (Shanghai Daily)
