200-odd local experts in development and production of new-type guided missiles were included into the reserve force of special equipment maintenance of the Second Artillery Force (SAF) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), the reporters of the PLA Daily learnt from the recent military training mobilization and deployment meeting of the special equipment maintenance reserve force of the SAF of the PLA.
The Armament Department of the SAF assigned 200-odd experts in new-type guided missiles from 10-plus equipment manufacturers to carry out various live-ammunition firing equipment support tasks successively in 2012, according to a leader of the Armament Department of the SAF.
The local experts helped to improve the guided missile equipment support capability of the SAF and optimize the composition of the equipment maintenance reserve force of the SAF.
It is learnt that the reserve force of new-type guided missile equipment maintenance will be incorporated into the rapid mobilization program of the SAF for the first time.
