The 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall, will debut in China Monday, centering on a plot involving Bond, intelligence chief M and former MI6 operative Raoul Silva, the antagonist.
As the lengthiest ever 007 film, it tells of Bond's investigation into an attack on MI6. It turns out to be part of efforts by Silva, played by Javier Bardem, to humiliate, discredit and kill M in revenge for an act of betrayal, according to the China Film Group Corporation, Skyfall's importer.
The film also sees the return of two recurring characters in the series after an absence of two films: Q, played by Ben Whishaw, and Moneypenny, played by Naomie Harris.
