LAGOS, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Nigeria's head coach Stephen Keshi has assured that the Super Eagles, would make Africa proud by performing well at next month's FIFA Confederations Cup.
The Super Eagles will play a friendly match with Mexico's national team in Houston, Texas, U.S. on May 31.
The Eagles are the current champions of Africa while the Mexican team are the champions of North and Central America.
Also, the Nigerian team will play against Kenya on June 5 and Namibia on June 12 before proceeding to Brazil for the FIFA Confederations Cup from June 15 to June 30.
Coach Keshi has called up 25 players for the match against Mexico.
Nigeria qualified to represent Africa at the FIFA Confederations Cup by winning the 2013 edition of the Nations Cup in South Africa.
The Super Eagles beat Burkina Faso 1-0 in the final to be crowned African champions for a third time after triumphs in 1980 and 1994.
The FIFA Confederations Cup, currently held every four years, features winners of the six FIFA confederation championships, along with the FIFA World Cup holder and the host nation.
