Electrics get plate exemption

The Beijing New Energy Vehicle Development Promotion Center recently announced implementation measures for a regulation encouraging individuals to buy purely electric vehicles. To be effective in May, the regulation said all-electric vehicle buyers do not need to join the lottery drawing for car license and could get a subsidy of up to 120,000 yuan ($19,308) for the purchase.
